“Special Needs Trusts or Able Accounts- What Do I Need to Know?”
Saint Catherine Academy will host a workshop for parents of special needs children to learn about financial planning for the future. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, November 8 at 7:00 pm at 760 Tahmore Drive in Fairfield. Stephen Ehrens, CPA and Wealth Advisor from Northwestern Mutual will discuss estate planning considerations, special needs trusts, wills, and benefit programs including Social Security and Medicaid. Steve will also present information on “Able Accounts”, newly legislated as a tax sheltered vehicle for children with special needs. Material will be provided and there will be time for questions.
