Annual Nativity Pageant 2025

Saint Catherine Academy celebrated the holiday season with its annual Christmas pageant, God With Us, on December 17th.
The festive event welcomed family members and friends who gathered to witness the students’ heartwarming performance. This year’s script, written and directed by Sister Cheryl Driscoll, RSM, provided a role for every student, allowing each to contribute meaningfully to the retelling of the Christmas story. With the support of the Academy’s teachers and therapists, the students delivered a moving performance filled with joy, confidence, and the true spirit of the season.
“The pageant was all about sharing the story of the Nativity,” said Ms. Lisa Lanni, Director of Education. “The students worked incredibly hard, and their pride and confidence were evident in every moment.”
A special highlight of the pageant was the presentation of gifts to Baby Jesus. These symbolic offerings—happiness, kindness, smiles, family, friendship, and love— reflected the true meaning of Christmas and the spirit of giving.
Following the performance, attendees enjoyed a reception hosted by members of the Connecticut Order of Malta. We are grateful for their continued support and kindness.
Thank you to the dedicated staff, therapists, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this cherished tradition a memorable success. A special note of gratitude goes to our “retired” staff members, Sr. Cheryl and Sr. Maureen, who volunteered their time daily throughout the month leading up to the performance.
